Mads Andersen (1984) is a designer and visual artist based in Bergen, Norway. He holds a BA in visual communication and an MA in design from the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD).

Since 2008, Mads has worked freelance on projects related to the realization of visual communication, primarily within the cultural sector. In 2020 he joined Studio Boi as a partner, which in 2023 joined forces with OK Kontor to form PART – an interdisciplinary studio for design, architecture and visuals, and PART Bodega – a local bar dedicated to the local design and architecture community.

Currently, Mads is teaching graphic design and typography at the Department of Design, and running the risograph-workshop at KMD. He also has a freelance practice that revolves mostly around developing his own publishing projects and designing artist’s books for friends. Together with Ingrid Rundberg he runs the small press Madrid Publications, and with Pamflett he takes part in organizing the annual Bergen Art Book Fair at Bergen Kunsthall.
